Native owned businesses need us more than ever
The American Indian Chamber of Commerce (AICCW) exists to promote economic development in Wisconsin Indian Country through directed service delivery to American Indian entrepreneurs. The mission of our sister organization, the First American Capital Corporation (FACC) is to perform economic development activities that benefit Wisconsin's Indian Country by increasing access to capital in the form of business loans, providing technical assistance services that strengthen the skills of Native entrepreneurs, and by advocating for Indian owned businesses to create new business opportunities -- both on and off the reservations.
In response to the COVID-19 health and economic crises, and it's impact on diverse business owners statewide, new donors and sponsors can extend support to FACC to help us remain a rapid response resource for the businesses, tribal enterprises and communities we serve.
"Shipping delays are a regular occurrence, which makes it nearly impossible for us to properly schedule work until materials are in our hands"
"Many projects have been postponed, either temporarily or indefinitely (investors backing out, lack of secured funding, etc.), which creates a deficit in our revenue backlog."
"If we are unable to secure work for our employees, not only are their jobs at risk, but it also may eliminate the potential job creation"
"Worry and stress for our families, make it that much harder to be productive during a time that our business needs our full commitment in order to survive this pandemic."
